Enrollment Analyst / Enrollment Processer - Multiple Opportunities

Enrollment Analyst will be part of the Medicare Enrollment team. The primary role of the Medicare Enrollment Processor is to process the applications or changes to new and/or existing members.  The applications should be processed timely and accurately.  Responsible for handling escalated enrollment issues in collaboration with the Call Center. Effectively adheres to all regulatory requirements mandated by the Centers for Medicare (CMS) and state regulations when applicable.
  • Retrieves, sorts, and documents all incoming Medicare Enrollment forms, correspondence and other mail within CMS guidelines.
  • Performs scanning of all paper and e-mailed Medicare Enrollment forms, correspondence and other mail in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Processes applications/disenrollments and changes for enrollment staff, internal departments and government agencies.
  • Audits and reconciles enrollment submissions for accuracy and timeliness per CMS guidelines.
  • Initiates and responds to phone inquiries to/from internal customers, plan members, prospective members and employer groups through information obtained from the Market Prominence, AWD Customer Service , Medicare System (MARx) and AMISYS systems. Responds to all AWD Customer Service inquiries received and updates the Market Prominence and/or AMISYS systems when necessary.
  • Updates demographic data, benefits and other fields in the Market Prominence and/or AMISYS systems based on reports or other documents received and assigned by the Manager.
  • Researches all Enrollment Elections Forms for completeness using all CMS regulations and time frames. Identifies all incomplete and complete enrollment elections in compliance with CMS regulations. Notifies and reports Medicare Marketing rejections, cancellations and possible CMS rejections to appropriate staff.
  • Reconciles discrepancies identified within internal systems and CMS.
  • Identifies, according to CMS regulations, all Completed Elections from existing members and processes them within CMS time frames.
  • Processes all Market Prominence rejections timely and accurately. Reconciles documents and attachments in Market Prominence against marketing submissions.
  • Assists with testing of new releases of Market Prominence software to ensure programs relevant to this position are functioning properly and are compliant with CMS polices and business procedures.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned. 
Required Skills
  • High school diploma (at minimum) is required. Preference of two years of previous Medicare Enrollment experience with an outside organization; OR demonstrated knowledge of the Market Prominence and other CMS systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Enrollment Election processing based on applicable Federal/State regulatory guidelines preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to attain and retain a range of information regarding regulations, policy, procedures and benefits. Ability to apply this information as it applies to enrollment processing.
  • Proficient in Windows environment - Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is a plus.
  • Accurate keying skills - 45 wpm with no errors.
