Our client is looking for talented, enthusiastic, and career-minded individuals to join their Cloud Architecture and Strategies team to specify, design, build, integrate and support our cloud base infrastructure offerings like Azure or AWS, as well as the development and offerings of our cloud services.

The cloud architect will provide the unique opportunity to operate in a start-up-like environment with a digital focus. As part of the team, you will be expected to lead architecture and implementations efforts, interface with vendors, develop tools and organize open source and commercial components, and development / execute on testing, to solve problems for running current and proposed processes on cloud infrastructure(s).

  • Provide technical architecture and consulting delivery
  • Plans, designs, and installs complex system configurations and standards for Virtualization and Storage platforms from scratch
  • Influence and drive cloud related capabilities, solutions and opportunities in coordination with external partners, operations and application teams.
  • Collaborate with the global Enterprise Architecture community on enterprise solutions taking advantage of innovative cloud solutions, DevOps tools and infrastructure technologies.
  • Design and implement secure cloud application environments with centralize identity management.
  • Analyze existing processes and storage for potential movement to the cloud.
  •  Interface with a global team of users, engineers, and operations personnel.
  • Develop tools to deploy, manage, monitor and troubleshoot cloud based systems on or off premises.
  • Maintain security standards according to internal policies.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to less senior staff.
  • Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience is required
  • Strong program and project management skills

  • Good written and oral communication capability
  • Demonstrate leadership and good judgment
  • 10+ years of Sr. or Executive level DevOps and/or Software Development leadership experience over large scale environments.
  • Expert in orchestrating Continuous Integration
  • Experience building and leading a world class DevOps team that is responsible for Software Development, Testing.
  •  Excellent Executive Level Strategy & Planning skills
  • Ability to identify IT department priorities and ensure resulting objectives are met in accordance with established timelines or deadlines
  •  Experienced in establishing, documenting, and enforcing policies and procedures to standardize technology operations, security controls, and reliability standards.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation and/or build out of tools to support the automation of all development, testing, and deployment processes
  • Highly experience in supporting Development teams in an Agile environment
  • Expert in system availability, performance, capacity and monitoring through proper response to incidents, events and problems
  • Experienced in the hiring, managing and allocating resources to achieve project goals, customer service objectives, and IT department priorities. Recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all IT staff experience
  • Ability to influence multiple levels of management on highly technical issues and challenges
  • 10+ years of system/network administration; 8+ years of implementation Virtual environments on-prem or on the cloud; 4+ years of multi-vendor Cloud architecture, implementation, and administration experience.
  • Having some Cloud industry certifications would be a definite plus.
  • 4+ years' experience using at least two of AWS, Azure and/or, Softlayer on a large scale.
  • Linux CentOS/Red Hat, including Virtual, and Windows experience essential.
  • Windows AD networking and authentication.
  • General Networking level experience – need to understand LAN/WAN, network topologies and a full understanding of the OSI layer.
  • Experience with storage subsystems, both block and object. Cloud Storage experience would be a definite plus.
  • Scripting proficiency in at least one of the following languages: python, ruby, perl, bash.
  • Exposure or working knowledge of various CD/CI tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible or CfEngine.)
  • Have general virtualization experience - (from Raise Floor to the Hypervisor and above)
  • Experience in advanced design, administration, tuning and configuration of clouds
  • Excellent cloud optimizations and troubleshooting experience.
  • Excellent written and communication skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).
  • Experience with Hybrid solution including integration between private and public cloud
  • Experience with cloud related tools / products / containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

Education Education:
Minimum of BA/BS In Information Technology, IT Engineering, Computer Science or related field experience
