Design Engineer  (Cabling)

Our Client is currently seeking qualified Engineer to help contribute to our ongoing success and growth.

Client specializes in the design and deployment of IT solutions customized for customers unique situation. As a partner to leading corporations, Client provides professionally managed technology integration for complex, large-scale IT initiatives.

Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience in communications cabling  design and support or similar field experience. This includes backbone, horizontal, closet placement, pathway design and Code compliance.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent customer facing skills and comfort working with all levels of client resources.
  • Ability to adjust pace and work effort to meet and beat deadlines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and clients efficiently and accurately
  • Self motivation and ability to work without constant supervision requiredTeam player, work well in collaborative efforts and environments
  • Very strong Microsoft office suite skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience writing scope for various size projects and create detailed installation layouts with the assistance of a CAD resource.
  • Strong discovery skills and standards compliance designs.
  • Mid level CAD experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to perform multi-day site walks for discovery and quality assurance.
  • RCDD preferred but not required.
