Sales Telemarketer/ New Business Developer

6 to 9-month contract, 40 hours/week

Our client recently launched a new business unit to accelerate growth in the Small Business Market (SBM). They have had success closing customers in a short period of time, but have not successfully developed lead sources. They used a vendor for telemarketing lead generation and have decided to bring this in-house and are now looking for an upbeat Sales Telemarketer/New Business Developer with strong listening skills and attention to detail to develop these leads.

Because our client is in the hospitality and travel industry, they are preferably looking for somebody with similar industry experience, or somebody with a telemarketing, sales, and/or business travel background.

The person in this role will be cold calling businesses to:
  • Locate the decision marker within the called company who would make decisions about their company's travel (spend, policy, and/or management)
  • Provide an overview of unique offers available to small businesses
  • Uncover basic information about how the company handles their current business travel
  • Encourage that contact to set up a virtual presentation with a sales rep to review their needs and help that contact/customer find a solution to their needs

Position Responsibilities
  • Phone calls to sell / telemarket

  • Appointment setting
  • Accuracy for work and CRM entry
  • Basic selling skills

Position Qualifications
  • High School Diploma; some college preferred
  • Experience with Outlook and web-based systems
