Business Analyst

This position requires the ability to learn on the job in a team-oriented environment, yet be responsible for your own workflow. You will be working with Workers Compensation policy and loss data that is reported to states' Insurance Departments and Rating Bureaus for Ratemaking and Experience Rating purposes.

You will be accountable for providing assistance to the analysts reporting unit statistical records to the various agencies ensuring timely submissions to avoid fines. This position focuses on ensuring that the data we are providing is in accordance with the specific requirements of that state / rating bureau and is complete and accurate. We are looking for self-starting individuals who are proficient with the Microsoft suite of products including utilizing excel to profile data.

Primary Duties
  • Provide assistance to the bureau analyst's reporting functions by:
  • Researching and clearing errors utilizing internal company systems
  • Profiling data utilizing excel functions such as lookups and pivot tables
  • Recommending/implementing changes to processes as needed.
  • Participating in team meetings and projects where needed.

Job Requirements
  • Analytical skills are critical for interpreting large amounts of data and drawing accurate conclusions
  • Technical skills, Access, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adjust priorities based on changing situations; able to handle several priorities at once.
  • Work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong time management, responsiveness, and attention to deadlines are critical.
