QA Test Engineer

We are looking for a Test Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic, fast paced, Agile Scrum team supporting our web products. Strong communication and problem solving required. Agile experience is a must.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze high level requirements and detailed user stories to identify Test Scenarios/Cases.
  • Define types of data and environment prep required for testing.
  • Write Function, System, and Regression test scripts.
  • Work with Product Owners to define, document and test Story Acceptance.
  • Execute smoke, function, system, and regression tests.
  • Become a subject matter expert across all supported applications.
  • Be a reliable source of information about the features, functions, use cases, and technical design of the products.
  • Perform root cause analysis as part of defect management.
  • Support UAT testers as issues arise and follow through to resolution.
  • Daily reporting of the progress/status of the test execution.
  • Maintenance of the test scripts library.
  • Reporting of defects; verification that high priority defects are escalated to Test Lead and/or Product Owner(s).
  •  Identify and implement test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Experience:
  • 4+ Years Web front-end testing including HTML, Inspect Element (console and network), and analyzing XML.
  • 3+ years of experience developing test automation or combination of development and test experience using Selenium Webdriver and JUnit or TestNG.
  • 3+ Years Web Services testing using SOAP UI or equivalent.
  • Basic XML knowledge (script writing and reading). Creation of XML Batch files a plus.
  • Cross browser testing – Browserstack, Sauce Labs, and/or manual.
  • Experience with defect reporting (defect logging, tracking, analysis, and validation).
  • Defect Root cause analysis.
  • Good knowledge of relational database and SQL.
  • Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio experience is required.

Required Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. Good troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail required.
  • Fast learner essential.
  • Proven communication and documentation skills.
  • Passion for engineering quality (lean process, elimination of waste).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude.
  • Curious mindset, striving to learn something new every day, while focused on delivering innovative solutions.

Nice to Have:
  • Use of RALLY – User Stories, defect tracking, and test cases.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
  • Previous QA Lead experience a plus.
  • Previous work with Adobe Acrobat Pro and PDF fillables a plus.
  • Practical working knowledge of web content management systems (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager) a plus.
  • Unix Batch experience a plus.
  • Prior Medicare experience a plus as is prior health insurance experience.
